The smaller sizes of the 00565 Series Breakaway Pin Kits (00565-015 to 00565-250) are designed for use with 00560-010 and 00570 Breakaway Connectors. Originally developed for contractors installing gas ducting, these connectors protect against overload during installation, ensuring the integrity of the ducting.The break value varies according to the breakaway point and is determined by the number of pins used simultaneously. The break value can range from 150 to 12,500 lbs, depending on the specific configuration. For instance, a single pin with a breaking load of 150 lb will provide a total breaking load of 750 lb when five pins are used together.Their application has expanded to include fiber-optic pulling, line-stringing, and innovative marine and vehicular towing solutions. For optimal performance, install the pin to the specified torque to prevent fatigue when loads are below the preload value.
